Almost redone Russian version of the home page replacing blocks of text with this Flash mini-gallery. The main challenge was (and stays) – finding good fonts which would not fade in Flash. For the time being for Cyrillic text I’ve chosen Courier New as every other font looked faded in a result .gif and movie.

It came out as mini-carousel on a home page. Because it is rather text-heavy gallery. I’ve just made the same for the Dutch version. Just hope that this kind of Flash will be quite accessible because of use of SWFobject for Flash embeds as all alternative content is actually written in code.

It seems like Home Page Carousel is completely “in”, so now I’ve decided to place one on my home page as well. Already made a test drive with carousel on the English version home page but need to work on graphics and Flash quite a bit more. Besides there are only 2 items on display [...]

As a part of “small graphics making” I’ve places empty ad buttons on a sidebar. Find it very entertaining: to make something beautiful out of small space. 3 “filled” buttons are already linked to Noscope, Debi and Elokhina websites.
